	Jerry Jesness is a teacher, author, and consultant offering workshops for educators who work with English language learners.
Jesness is an ESL and Spanish teacher for the Clear Creek Independent School District in South Texas. He has also taught ESL in Minnesota, Mexico, Japan, and the lower Rio Grande Valley. He has taught special education, language arts, and social studies in classes that included both English languge learners and native speakers of English. He has written articles and columns for several publications, including Harper's Magazine, Reason Magazine, Teacher Magazine, Principal Magazine, Education Week, Education News, and Intellectual Capital. He has written a book, Teaching English Language Learners K-12 , which was released by Corwin Press in Februrary, 2004.	Jesness lives in League City, Texas with his wife, three daughters, and a few animals.
